Going to fan boy this one because I love every single remedy game that has come out so far (except firebreak). They make truly original and creative... uh calling them games feels wrong. Tempted to call them "interactive cinematic experiences" at the cost of sounding like an asshole.
- Control has a fantastic story and is extremely fun to play.
- Alan wake 2 was a huge improvement over alan wake 1 (and american nightmare) which was my favorite game before the sequel came out.
- Quantum break was also fun to play and watch (because it's a game with a TV show embedded within it).
- Old max payne games are amazing too and still fun to play even with it's stiff, tiny bit outdated controls.
This is what remedy does best and why I like them. Those finnish bastards make amazing story-driven games and take creative risks to make their work more interesting. Unlike activision's (treyarch, infinity ward, sledgehammer, etc included) creatively bankrupt and completely hollow almost-yearly call of duty releases, remedy consistently produces quality games. You can say "apples to oranges" but I say "fruit to fruit". Need a little bit of this in every team in the world building things. Not everything needs to be done with the goal of feeding profit piggy.
Have fun with it. Make interesting things.
