Yep. No doubt about it. I love another remedy game. Who would've thought, Control: resonant is brilliant. How creative they were in exploring the Jesse, Dylan relationship. How they explored everything the set up in Control about their childhood, Dylan's time in containtment, etc. How deserved the transition feels from Dylan being hated by everyone for the things he did in Control, to gaining the respect of everyone at FBC. They humanized him the right way with guilt weighing him despite the fact he wasn't in "control" of his actions in Control.
The world they set up feels very real despite the absurdity of that statement. They've poured so much detail into every concept that I felt guilty traversing throught it quickly because I didn't get to pay enough attention.
And don't get me started on the gameplay. Smooth traversal like the original Control. Much more difficult than control but thats only a motivation to spend time with the upgrades and exploring more side quests. A decent variety of memorable bosses too. Chefs kiss for striking the right balance. Although I did cheat a couple of times by using the accessibility settings to increase damage a bit.
The only complain, the god damn taxi disappointment. Amazing build up and really fun puzzles but the ending of the taxi quest was so damn unsatisfying. Nitpick considering everything else the game gets absolutely right.
Another hit as expected. This Sam Lake guy and his team know what they're doing. More please of this.
